Photomontage

The task for this brief was to create a photomontage that would be used on the cover of a gift card. We were to draw inspiration from a colour theme in some way. The colour theme I was given was bright orange.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Designin a new cover for the book 'Fantastic Mr. Fox'. I wanted to create a design that felt special, not only for kids but parents and older lover's of Roald Dahl and this book. After developing a number of ideas, this cover design is the one I have chosen to refine. I am still playing around with certain aspects of the design but so far I am content with how the piece has come together.

Hands Etching

This is a print of an acetate etching I made. Once printed I used watercolours to add in colour and build on the dimensions, tones and shading used in the piece. While working with this etching I explored a range of different materials to print on to; vintage newspaper, dyed cotton, cardboard, cartridge paper, butchers paper, etc.

Sailors Delight Logo

The task was to create a logo for ourselves. I chose to create one for my personal blog. Its a simple design, yet it is bold and has a sense of character to it.

Minipops

Two Minipops I created of 'Parks and Recreation' characters Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson. They were inspired by the original Minipops found here. 

Copyright Brochure

For this task I was to design a brochure for 'An Introduction to Copyright in Australia'. I was restricted to a limited number of colours that I could use. I created an up to date, bold yet informative brochure.

Font Design

This task looked at creating new fonts and exploring different lettering types and styles. This was a really fun task to complete as it required the exploration of many different materials to create unique outcomes for a variety of font types.
